Panaji: South Goa MP Fransico Sardinha on Wednesday said that the chief minister should talk with his Karnataka counterpart and bring in cattle which is to be slaughtered can be slaughtered in Goa.
Speaking to reporters, Sardinha also said that the Goa meat complex should be opened at earliest.
Taking about the Sanjivani sugar factory, Sardeinha said, “While government is speaking of doubling the income of farmers, government is not doing anything regarding sugar factory. The Benaulim prawns hatcher is being handed over to private party.”
Sardinha also sought government’s intervention in the working of cooperative banks where, he alleged, common people’s money is blocked.
