Panaji: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has paid condolence on the demise of State’s former Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Shantaram Naik.
Naik, 72, passed away in Margao this morning after suffering a massive heart attack.
“Deeply saddened by the passing away of Congress leader and former Rajya Sabha MP from Goa Shantaram Naik. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family,” Chief Minister tweeted.
Earlier in the morning President of India M Venkaiah Naidu and Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi were amongst those several politicians who paid their condolence.
