Porvorim: Pointing out that despite chief minister Pramod Sawant’s assurance that Rajdhani Express will not take halt at Goa, the train carrying passengers halted at Madgaon Railway Station on Saturday, Independent MLA Rohan Khaunte alleged that the centre has made Goa CM a “pappu.”

Total eleven passengers who arrived in Rajdhani Express train from Delhi to Madgao Railway station tested positive for COVID-19 infection. They have been shifted to ESI hospital where they are being treated.

Khaunte tweeted “the darkest day for #Goa as we realise that Centre has no respect for our @goacm. COVID Express still took half on Saturday. Centre is making our CM a #Pappu! Goa scores half century in active cases.”

In a series of tweets released on Sunday, Khaunte, who is an Independent MLA,  said “Has @DrPramodPSawant lost his control over his position? Why were Goans kept in dark over Rajdhani taking halt? Why did he lie? He is to be solely blamed for upsurge in COVID19 cases in the State.”

Pointing out that State Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has urged the CM to make it mandatory for the air travelers to have COVID-19 negative certificate before their arrival in the tourist state, Khaunte tweeted “@DrPramodPSawant  showing adamant behaviour by not respecting @visrane suggestion of COVID-19 negative certificate for air passengers clearly reflects his intentions to make Goa hide out for people from COVID red zones.”
