Panaji: To bridge the gap between availability of vaccines and eligible population, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be taking up an extensive drive encouraging people above the age of 45 years to get inoculated.

BJP Goa State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade said that the drive will begin in the State from today onwards, which will be supported by the party workers.

“People still hesitate to take the vaccine, our role through this drive will be to educate people about the importance of this vaccine,” said Tanavade.

The mission for vaccination is taken up by the party as a part of its 41st Foundation Day, which is being celebrated across the State by the workers by hoisting the flags over the respective homes.

All BJP Karyakartas right from the state to booth level, leaders and  MLAs will spread awareness about Covid Vaccine in their respective constituencies.  The campaign is scheduled from 6th April to 14th April.

“Last year the government had to declare Janta Curfew as there was no remedy for the Pandemic but now we do, in fact this vaccine is available free of cost at Government Hospitals hence i request people to get themselves vaccinated,” urged  Tanavde.

He also inferred that since Goa is a small state it can be the first state in India to have 100% vaccinated people.
