Panaji: Anti Corruption Branch of Goa Police today grilled St Cruz Sarpanch Mariano Araujo and two other Panch members in connection with the bribery case.
ACB questioned Araujo and Panch members Lourenco Rodrigues and Prasad Naik after a builder filed complaint against them.
Deputy superintendent of Police Suchita Desai said that the preliminary investigation is being conducted in the complaint.
“We are yet to file FIR. We can’t file FIR till we have proper proof at hand,” Desai said.
Interestingly, the builder has submitted a video clip of all the three suspects demanding bribe to the ACB. But Desai said that the clip also needs to be verified.
She said that the sanction from the seniors would have to be taken before filing FIR in this case.
