In a brutal incident Calangute police have arrested 05 persons early morning today on 19/09/2018.
As per PI Jivba Dalvi a complaint was received early morning today on 19/09/2018 at 09:00 am from Mr. Sameersab Bepari R/o Orda Candolim informing that 05 persons had assaulted his friend namely Mr. Sam and Miss. Mary early morning at Khobravado, while they were traveling on a bike and overtook the accused persons while they were riding their car. Over the petty issue of overtaking, accused persons namely 1. Vishwas Govekar R/o Porbowado, Calangute, 2. Tukaram Naik, R/o Asnora, 3. Dipesh Naik, R/o Naikawado, Calangute, 4. Rahul Dias, R/o Saligao and 5. Sitakant Zantye, R/o Bastora, Bardez attacked Sam and his friend Mary with fist blows, slaps and broken beer glass bottles causing them grevious injuries.
Calangute police early morning than traced the accused persons and arrested them from various parts of north Goa.
An offence under section 143, 146,148,323, 326R/w 149 IPC has been registered.
PSI Rushikesh Patil is investigating the case under the supervision of PI Jivba Dalvi.
