Valpoi: A 28 years old youth named Sadayo Keshav Melekar from rural village Shel Melavali Valpoi, has been selected for Presidential Award. He has come first in 55th All India skill competition for Craftmen, in Electrician Trade. Which was held in July at Chenai in 2019. Under the craftsmen training scheme.
According to Sadayo Melekar is the first Goan who have been selected for the Presidential Award in Electrician Trade. He have done his graduation in B.Com and after getting the degree in Bachelor in Commerce, he had got the job in SESA Goa Mining company. But after the mining banned in 2013, he had been removed from the job.
And In 2016, he have thought that to do the ITI in Electrician Trade. So have done his admission at Farmagudi Government Industrial Training Institute, Farmagudi Phonda Goa. Its a two years diploma course.
Where he have secured the first place in final example which were in 2018 in Farmagudi ITI. And later on, the Goa Government was held a another ITI exam for those students have secured the first place in all Goan ITI. In that exam the Sadayo Melekar have come first place with the highest percentage and he have been chosen for the 55th All India Skill Competition for Craftmen, in Electrician Trade.
In that Exam I have secured the first place in India, in Electrician Trade. I have been selected for Presidential award. My Farmagudi ITI Principal have called me on my phone, four days ago and have given this good news. The award function date is not yet confirm. Says Sadayo Melekar.
