Calangute: Goa Police arrested two local men for carrying drugs in the beach village of Calangute on Monday.
Calangute Police Inspector Nolasco Raposo said that two local men Lenny Fernandes (25) and Manohar Dhargalkar (26) were arrested on Monday in the beach village.
Both the accused were found carrying ganja worth Rs 70,000 while they were travelling on their two-wheeler, he said.
Raposo said that this is the ninth narcotics raid conducted during the current academic year.
The raid was conducted by a team headed by Police Inspector Nolasco Raposo, Police Sub Inspector Vishal Mandrekar, Constables Vinod Naik, Vinay Srivastav, Suresh Naik.
The investigation in this case is conducted by PSI Rajaram Bhagkar under the direction of Police Inspector Nolasco Raposo and overall supervision of SDPO Edwin Colaco and SP North Utkrisht Prasoon.
