The officer said that during the extension of remand on Monday, the police have told the court that they are yet to know the motive behind her act. “She is repeatedly saying that her husband was responsible for death of their child.. She is not cooperating with the investigating officer,” he said.
Police have also told the court that they want to collect sample of the accused for conducting DNA to match with her child. “That is a part of a procedure,” he said.
The Investigating officer also wants to cross check with her the statement given by her estranged husband Venkat Raman, the police said adding that the extension of her police custody will help in getting more evidences against her in this case.
