Cuncolim: The people residents of Paroda has accused Cuncolim MLA Clafacio Dias of misguiding people by raising two separate issues for gaining sympathy and monitory benefits.
The statement issued by villagers led by Prashant Jotkar, Gabriel Fernandes, Umesh Borkar and Rusario Carvalho has claimed that the gram sabha of Paroda panchayat was disrupted by supporter of the MLA.
They have said that the villagers of Paroda had submitted questions to the panchayat for discussion one on illegal land filling and development of plots to accommodate outsiders and second for asking action taken report on notices to VP Paroda by TCP department regarding the illegal plot development.
“There has been rampant land filling and development of plots in Paroda village with support of MLA and local panchayat body on which various complaints are filed by individuals and villagers of Paroda,” the statement reads.
They have said that these questions were raised in gram Sabha since MLA and his close supporters were misguiding the people by mixing two separate issues for gaining sympathy and monitory benefits. “Whereas we the villagers of Paroda has raised complaints on illegal land filling, plot developments in lands directly or indirectly belonging to MLA,” they say.
The villagers have said that the MLA is misguiding people through social media and also by initiating some fake signature campaigns giving a picture that we the villagers of Paroda had complained against age old houses belonging to original villagers settled in Paroda to gain public sympathy and garner public support to hide personal illegal activities.
They have said that they have never complained nor have any objection to any original resident of Paroda, building a house for his own use in his ancestral property.
We have strong objection to illegal plots development for selling to outsiders for personal gains at the cost of peace and tranquility of villagers of Paroda.
