Goa to introduce more high-end tourism services this year: Rohan Khaunte

Panaji: Attracting the high-end tourists, Goa will soon introduce the facilities like Sea Planes, Sky Diving, Amphibious vehicles, Hop-on-Hop-off buses and others in the state, Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte said.

Speaking to reporters on Friday, Khaunte said that Goa is working with the approach to create the amenities that the tourists want.

He pointed out that on Friday, the State has launched Helicopter Service in association with HAWK Soaring Aerospace company, providing better connectivity to the high-end tourists.

Khaunte said that the State government is working to create “whichever facility that tourists expect in Goa.” He said that the tourists now seek for new experiences which can be given through different tourist services.

The minister said that the state is witnessing rise in the tourist footfalls as the thrust is on other aspects like hinterland, wellness, MICE, Adventure along with Sun, Sand and Sea.

Khaunte said that the state is working with a tourist friendly approach by introducing high-end tourism services like Hop-on-Hop-off buses, Sea planes, Amphibious vehicles, Sky Diving and others.

“Every month we will be announcing new service to the tourism sector. This will allow high end tourists to utilize these facilities and it will help the state in terms of economy and employment,” he added.
