FDA shuts down three premises at Morjim beach village

Morjim: The Food and Drugs Administration Department has shut down three  premises in Morjim coastal belt as a part of its crack down on the illegalities in the beach belt.

The  first premises  was directed not to carry out any food related activity until all the approvals are obtained.

Another two  restaurants namely M/s Bora Bora lounge restaurant and night bar situated at Vithaldas waddo, Morjim was run by company with five directors among which four are Russian nationals and a local  Girish Naik.

They were directed to close down.

Another restaurant named Fish was also close down situated at Vithaldas Vaddo Morjim for operating without license as mandatory under FSSAI Act, 2006. The raid was conducted with the help of police from Pernem police station.
