Panaji: Dr Govindraj Shripad Dessai from Cuncolim Goa stood first in Maharashtra University of health sciences (MUHS) in MCh surgical gastroenterology examination
He is the one of first goans to clear MCh Surgical Gastroenterology examination
In 2020 in NEET SS examination he had secured all India rank of 18 and took admission in prestigious Seth G S Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai.
He underwent training of 3 years in advanced laparoscopic and hepatopancreatico biliary surgeries under renowned GI surgeons of Mumbai Dr Chetan Kantharia
He had secured Manohar Parrikar Scholarship while persuing his superspecialisation
Dr Govindraj has completed MBBS and MS general surgery from Goa Medical College
He has also cleared various fellowship examinations like FCARSI FMAS and FIAGES
He was student of Shri Sharda bal mandir cuncolim and The new educational institute curchorem
At the HSSC,being studied at Shrimati Parvatibai Chowgule college he had stood 5th in Goa and secured Dhirubai Ambani Scholarship
