Panaji: Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said that the state will be relying on a COVID-19 negative certificate from a recognized laboratory for the people boarding the flight from their respective state when flight operation begins on Monday.
Rane said in a statement “every state government has been given the flexibility to draft its own SOPS with regards to passengers coming into the state. I have discussed and taken this up with the Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod to ensure the safety of the people of Goa.”
“We shall also be relying on a COVID-19 negative certificate from a recognized laboratory for the people boarding the flight from their respective state. This will help in preventing community transmission and go a long way in keeping Goa safe. We must have strong protocols in place to implement the same.”
“I am confident that our CM will join us in this fight against #COVID19 and help us establish stringent protocols to keep Goa safe.”




There is no clarity on the procedures adopted to test and quarantine International Passengers arriving in Goa, via Delhi, Mumbai or such other Airports.
Will they be tested at the Airport of First Arrival or in Goa?
There is also no clarity on how long the results of the swab test will take and where will the passengers made to wait, pending the results. Whether food and toilet facilities are available in this waiting areas.
