COVID-19: 42 new infections, 84 cured, tally 951

Panaji: While 42 new cases of COVID-19 infection were reported in Goa on Wednesday, the health authorities said that 84 people had recovered and discharged from covid care facilities.

A State Health department official said that 42 fresh cases of infection were reported on Wednesday taking the tally of confirmed patients to 951. “Of them 660 are active patients,” he said.

The official said that out of 1991 samples tested, 1274 were negative while reports of 672 are still awaited.

Goa has reported two deaths related to COVID-19 infection till date.

As per the data available, the patients found infected with COVID-19      were found across the state including rural areas like Sankhali, Morlem and other sub urban areas including few pockets in Vasco city in South Goa.
