Panaji – Congress Government after coming to power in 2022 will immediately scrap Section 16-B along with all land conversions done under Section 16-B of the Town & Country Planning Act and will also setup a Fish Testing Laboratory by 30th May 2022. Scraping of three linear projects is already announced by our incharge Dinesh Gundu Rao on 18th June 2021 at historic Lohia Maidan, Margao. This is our firm commitment to the people stated Congress President Girish Chodankar.
We want to promise the Goans that Congress Government will scrap Section 16-B and all the land converted under the said section will be reverted back to its original status. We had already warned everyone not to get land converted under 16B on “Suitecase to Suitecase” basis stated Girish Chodankar.

Fish is the staple diet of Goa. Congress Party believes that providing healthy, hygenic fish to every Goan is the Governments responsibility. We will setup a Fish Testing Laboratory by 30th May 2022 which is Goa Statehood Day and ensure that Formalin Free fish is made available to every Goan.
The most corrupt and Master of Lies former Chief Minister late Manohar Parrikar compromised on protecting identity of Goa and Interest of Goans for his selfish gains and allowed mass conversions of land. He also patronised “Fish Mafia” in Goa to protect his political associates charged Girish Chodankar.
Most corrupt Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant continued former CM late Manohar Parrikar’s legacy of encouraging conversions under 16-B and promoting “Formalin Mafia” at the cost of Goa and Health of Goans. The Government failed to setup the laboratory despite promising about it almost 4 years back.
Despite demand from public to post Eva Fernandes as full fledged incharge of Wholesale Fish Market in Margao to check adulterated fish, the Government humiliated the upright officer Eva Fernandes for doing her duty. Our government will post upright officer like her to ensure availability of formaline free fish to Goans assured Girish Chodankar.
