Panaji : MLA of St. Cruz, Antonio (Tony) Fernandes said he was not taken into confidence by the Collector before removing the kiosks near GMC, Bambolim.
“We have spoken to the CM he has assured to help the kiosk owners since it is the question of thier livelihood,” said Domnic Perreira, social activist from St. Cruz.
Several kiosk owners & local leaders including Ramrao Wagh & Rama Kankonkar were detained on 27th September early morning outside GMC when they protested against the government’s failure to rehabilitate the kiosk owners while new people were allotted space. They were released from the police station same evening.
