Panaji: The Hotels and Restaurants in Goa on Wednesday petitioned Chief Miinister Pramod Sawant urging him to resume bars in the state also extend the timing of operation granted to the restaurants.
Goa Hotels and Restaurants’ Association President Gaurish Dhond said that the chief minister has assured that all the bars and hotels with the timings as in the past would be allowed to operate in the state from July 01 onwards.
He said that since government has allowed the wine stores to open, the bars should also be allowed to be functional. Dhond said that the businessmen are ready to abide by all the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
He said that they will take utmost care including use of sanitizers and masks and also have social distancing in the restaurants once they resume.
