Panjim, June 29: Yoga has always been an integral part of the society and is practiced worldwide for its various benefits that include physical as well as mental health. While the current scenario is worsening day by day, the stress level is also increasing at an individual level and also on a large scale and in such critical situations, by practicing Yoga, we have an upper hand in keeping ourselves calm and composed in such time of crisis. With this motive, The Art of Living is organizing an Online Breath and Meditation Workshop as a service towards the well-being of society.

The Online Breath and Meditation Workshop is scheduled from 2nd to 5th July, 2020 on an auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima. The session will be conducted in the evenings for two hours on weekdays and on Sunday by His Holiness Sri Sri Ravishankar from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm. The workshop will guide in learning and practicing Sudarshan Kriya- a unique breathing technique proven to have numerous physical and mental benefits.

Sudarshan Kriya, being the central element of this webcast, helps in detoxification and improvement of immunity, quick and effective reduction of stress, deep relaxation and improved quality of sleep, increased focus and memory and better health and harmonious relationships. This technique also helps in improving your state of mind as well as boosting your immunity. Independent research has also demonstrated reduction in stress hormone; increase in life satisfaction and in immune cell count, better sleep and higher energy level through the practice of Sudarshan Kriya.

In order to achieve a smooth functioning of this webcast, Anita Raicar will be conducting this workshop from Moira, Santosh Ghodge and Sangeeta Hegde from Margao, Mithili Kakodkar and Swarna Lakshmi from Salcete, Purva Parab and Neela Navelkar from Panaji and Swati Buvaji from Quepem.
