Colvale Police have rescued 02 minor kidnapped girls from Hubli.
As per SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi on 29/05/2023 at 21.00 hrs, an FIR was registered upon the complaint one person. i.e father of a minor girl informing that some unknown accused persons have kidnapped his minor daughter, age 12 yrs from his lawful guardianship and kept and her present whereabouts not known.
Similarly on the same day another lady lodged her complaint that unknown accused person/s kidnapped her minor daughter, aged 15 yrs from the lawful guardianship of the complainant and kept her at unknown place and her present whereabouts not known.
Accordingly two FIR’s were registered in this regards immediately under section 363 IPC Section 8 of Children’s Act.
Immediately SDPO Mapusa Jivba Dalvi formed a team and led the investigation. All out efforts were made to trace the minor victim girl involved in the above crime.
During the course of investigation and through the reliable sources and technical surveillance it was revealed that the victim girls are and have proceeded to Hubli Karnataka. Accordingly, a Police team consisting of PSI Mandar Parab and staff immediately proceeded to Hubli Karnataka in search of kidnapped minor victim girl and after obtaining Police Assistance of Kasabapeth Police Station, Hubballi, Karnataka conducted search in the locality and during the course of search, it was revealed from reliable sources that two minor girls are kept in the house of one Mr. Naveed Ahmad Paniband R/o Tippunagar, Nekarnagar road, Hubli Dharwad Karnataka Accordingly, the house of said Naveed Ahmad Paniband was located staff and the two minor girls were found kept locked in the said house.
Further, Mr. Naveed Ahmad Paniband, disclosed that his friend namely Tousif Killedar @ Munna R/o Dharwad Karnataka had brought both the said girls and accommodated in his house on 29/05/2023. Further, the said Tousif Killedar @ Munna was apprehended in the same locality and taken into custody During interrogation, said Tousif Killedar @ Munna confessed about his involvement in commission of the above crime along with help of Mr. Naveed Ahmad Paniband. Further, both the kidnapped minor victim girls and both the above mentioned persons are brought to the Colvale Police Station, Goa. Both the above mentioned accused persons were formally arrested and presently lodged in Police Custody.
It is revealed that the above accused persons had lured both the minor girls with hope of providing better life and induced them to get gold ornaments from their homes. The accused persons had subsequently sold the gold ornaments to goldsmiths. All the gold was recovered from the goldsmiths in Hubli. SDPO Dalvi co-ordinated the search operation and subsequent rescue operation of the girls.
The above accused was traced and arrested and victim girls are rescued within 48 hours of registration of offences. The above accused persons are being produce before Hon ‘ble JMFC Court Mapusa for remand.
The above operation was conducted under the extreme Supervision of SP. North Porvorim Shri. Nidhin Valson (IPS), SDPO, Mapusa Shri. Jivba G. Dalvi and PI, Colvale PS Shri. Somnath L. Mahaji , pi Shitakant Naik of Mapuca police station. Further investigation is in progress with PSI Mandar Parab of Colvale P.S. and PSI Kunal Naik of Colvale PS respectively.
