Panaji : Goa Livelihoods Forum in association with the Global Goals is set to hold a webinar on the ‘Role of Media – Sustainable Developmental Goals and Goa’ on June 27 at 4.30 pm.
The speakers for the above mentioned webinar are informatics and governance experts including Anupam Saraph, former Finance Secretary of Goa Daulat Hawaldar, IAS, author Charudatta Panigrahi and Dharmanand Vernekar, advisor, Goa Livelihoods Forum.
Dharmanand Vernekar, advisor of Goa Livelihoods Forum said “This consultation hosted by us aims to bring about in Goa, increased choice and community-based approaches in livelihoods and sustainable developmental goals related themes. Through research, advocacy and innovative outreach programs on the ground, the forum is looking at reinvigorating the civil society,”
The main goal of the mission is to establish efficient effective institutional platforms for the poor and the marginalized that enable them to increase household incomes through livelihood enhancement and improve access to financial and public services. “The media can be a significant and meaningful stakeholder in the quest,” stated Vernekar.
