Canacona: Goa Police on Wednesday registered case against actress Poonam Pandey for obscene gesture after her video shot on a dam in Canacona village in South Goa went viral.
State Water Resources Department, which manages the Chapoli dam at Canacona village, had filed a formal complaint with local police.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Nelson Albuquerque said that the case has been registered case against the actress after she was spotted in the video. He said that the State Water Resources Department had filed complaint against unknown after the objectionable video went viral on social media.
Albuqurque said that the police will summon Pandey for the investigation into the matter.
He said that she has been booked for obscene gestures, trespass into government property, shooting and distribution of indecent video.
The issue had raised controversy in the state after political parties including Goa Forward Party and Congress had questioned misuse of government property for shooting such video.
