Vijai Sardesai hosted at Hebrew University in Israel, exchange programs discussed

Israel: Goa Forward Party Chief and Deputy Chief Minister Vijai Sardesai was today hosted  at the Faculty of Agriculture of the Hebrew University at Rehovot in Israel, where he is on a private visit.

It was at this university where Albert Einstein, as member of the first Governing Body instilled the culture of precise science.

During the visit today, Sardesai had constructive discussion with Prof. Aliza Fleischer, Head of School for Agri Sciences at The Robert H Smith Faculty of Agri, Food & Environment at Rehovot on how post graduate students from Goa could take admission in this World famous university to help the needs of the common Goan farmer.

Research Centres and Greenhouses facilities of the Faculty especially pertaining to Plant Physiology were visited by Sardesai who was accompanied by an Indian PhD Student.

Sardesai has invited the Faculty of Agriculture to participate in the high level concluding meeting to be held on May 21.

During his visit, the Deputy Chief Minister is  expected to visit water management installations at Mekorot, bio farming and Kibbutz collective farms .

The ministeries of agriculture and foreign affairs will be represented at the high level meet that will pertain to introduction of a unique high tech program on precision farming.

Sardesai was hosted at Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Jerusalem on Wednesday during which he had discussed ties between Goa and Israel on various fronts.
