Banastarim: Goa Forward Party President and TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai has claimed that MGP was having internal tie up with Congress, which is sparing them from facing attack by them.

Sardesai said that Congress has been targeting his party and the BJP but sparing MGP because “they have internal tie up.”

“The coalition government was formed  under leadership of Manohar Parrikar because he would give certain direction to Goa,” he said.

“But when we claim that all alliance partners are together, how come, one of them contest the (by-election) election?,” he questioned referring to MGP’s decision to contest in Shiroda and Mandrem Assembly by-elections.

“Many a times, it has happened that during the by-election MGP and BJP has fought giving winning edge to Congress,” Sardesai said.

“If that happens in two Assembly Constituencies then what happen? Will the government be stable? If the government is unstable where will MGP go?,” he said.

Sardesai said that Congress is targeting BJP as “ it is their national enemy.”

“But in Goa, they are targeting our party (GFP).   They (Congress) are not targeting MGP as they have internal tie up with them,” he alleged.
