Panaji: Industries Minister Vishwajit Rane today said that government will auction the SEZ land by April, 2020 to repay the loan, which was taken to unlock the land from the promoters.
Rane said that file with regards to auction of the land is been forwarded to Advocate General for legal opinion.
“We have auction the land by April 30, 2020. From May, 2020, the interest itself will go to Rs 3.5 crore per month. This is going to be huge. We need to auction the land before that,” he said.
Rane said that government will have auction the land to repay the loan amount of over Rs 200 crore paid to the SEZ promoters.
