Panaji: Goa Police on Tuesday arrested 38-year-old Russian tourist for using banned satellite phone, a senior official said.
A senior police official said that Colva Police in South Goa registered offence against Aleksei Kamynin for possessing and using satellite phone of make ‘Thuray’ with a SIM card which is banned for usage in India.
The official said that she was booked under Indian Wireless Telegraphy Act 1933 and sec 20 Indian Telegraph Act 1885, he said adding that she was arrested from a resort in South Goa where she was staying.
