Panaji: Several retired primary and high school teachers are waiting for release of their pension which has been held back for more than two years by Accounts Department.
Sources stated that around 30 school teachers who had retired after teaching in Primary and High School are yet to get their pension as they are given some or excuse Accounts Department.
It is for more than two years that they have been visiting the department inquiring about their pension and has even communicated to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant’s office.
But they are not able to get the solution.
It is learnt that Accounts Department is giving some lame excuses to hold back their pension.
Expecting CM Pramod Sawant to personally intervened in the matter.
