Panaji: The Public Works Department has said that the work on St Cruz -Taleigao road has already begun but the major work has been pending awaiting financial sanction.
The PWD has issued statement after locals on Tuesday protested outside the official residence of minister Deepak Pauskar.
“This is regarding st cruz road…as promised my office did this work…within 10 days..however the major huge work of hotmixing and drains cannot start without sanction and issue of work order,” a senior official said.
The office is awaiting finiancial sanction.
