Panaji: Asking the people to retain the spirit and protect the beauty of Goa, Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte wished his fellow Goans on the occasion of 60th Liberation Day.
Khaunte tweeted, “Celebratingevery Goan forever enjoy the fruits of Freedom, Equality & Healthy Living. Let’s retain the fearless spirit of our forefathers and pledge towards protecting the vibrant Natural Beauty & Bounty of our Sunshine state. Viva Goa!”
As the state celebrates 60 years of liberation from Portuguese rule, political leaders extended their wishes. Chief minister Dr Pramod Sawant who hoisted the flag in the morning will be joined by chief guest President of India, Ram Nath Kovind in the evening who will lay the wreath at Azad Maidan, Panaji.
