Ponda: It is learnt that independent candidate from Ponda Rajesh Verenkar would join Goa Forward Party today at Panaji.
Rajesh had recently backed the MGP Panel for Ponda Municipal Council election due to which MGP could touch seven-member mark in the recently concluded elections.
Verenkar was sidelined by the MGP after the municipal elections due to physiotherapist who has been in the limelight for various reasons and has become a blue eyed boy of PWD Minister
Our sources inform us that Goa Forward Vice President Akbar Mulla and Durgadas Kamat were instrumental in roping in Rajesh Verenkar in Goa Forward Party.
Highly placed sources informed that Rajesh Verenkar had a series of meetings with Party President Vijai Sardesai before coming to this decision of joining Goa Forward.
It is also learnt that Rajesh and Durgadas Kamat have sorted out their misunderstanding & differences which was created by a technician from health sector and now both have decided to join hand to take Ponda Forward.
Vice President of Goa Forward party Akbar Mulla while speaking to media confirmed the decision of Rajesh to join Goa Forward. Akbar Mulla further said that all the three ministers and entire Goa Forward team would work along with Rajesh to take Ponda Forward.
