Panaji: State Government will felicitate nine teachers with the prestigious ‘Goa State Teacher’s Award’ on the occasion of Teachers Day tomorrow.
A state function is been organized at Kala Academy. Chief Secretary IAS Dharmendra Sharma will be the chief guest for the event.
The teachers from primary school to be felicitated are Sambhaji Vishnu Raut, Govt. Primary School-Mestawada Bethoda Ponda.
In Secondary School Category, Subhash Vithu Sawant, Sateri Vidhya Mandir, Ibrahmpur, Gajanan Raghoba Shetye, Shri. Shantadurga High School Bicholim, Shweta Suhas Prabhu Dessai, Mahila and Nutan High School, Margao and Wilma Maria Pereira, Deepvihar High School, Headland Sada.
In Tr. Grade 1 category, the awardees are Cora Do Cormo Coelho, Loyola Higher Secondary School, Margao.
In the Headmaster’s Category the award goes to Devidas Kudav, Vice Principal, District Institute of Education and Training and Girish M. Tendulkar, Headmaster, Gananath English High School, Nirankal Ponda.
In Principal Category, the award goes to Ramdas Vassudeo Kelkar, Sapteshwar Institute of Higher Education, Mandrem Pernem.
