Canacona: 1st Ever Installation of *JCI Canacona City* extended by JCI Ponda took place on *3rd September 2023* at the auditorium of DPM’s SHREE MALLIKARJUN & Shri. Chetan Manju Desai College, Delem – Canacona.
The CHIEF GUEST for the function was *Shri. Ramesh Tawadkar*, Hon. Speaker Goa legislative Assembly and Member of Legislative Assembly of Canacona. GUEST OF HONOR was *Shri. Chetan Desai*, Chairman, Shree Mallikarjun & Shri. Chetan Manju Desai College. Also present were Zone President of JCI India Zone XI *JCI Senator Rajesh Rajan*, special invitee Zone Vice President *JFD Chetan Salelkar*, and Senior Journalist of Gomantak newspaper *Shri. Soiru Komarpant*.
Extension chairman *JC HGF Janhavi Naik*, President of JCI Ponda gave oath to *JC Sargam Bhikar* and inducted her as the 1st ever President of JCI Canacona City for the year 2023 along with her Dynamic Team comprising of Secretary – Jc Keval Naik, Treasurer – Jc Shrinivas Prabhugaonkar and many more vice President’s and Directors. All together 20 new members took oath as Jaycee members of JCI Canacona City.
In his speech Chief Guest Shri. Ramesh Tawadkar mentioned about the tremendous talent of Canacona people which can contribute to the betterment of Canacona as well as Goa. In his vision he mentioned to see the the name of Canacona flying high not only on the map of Goa but also in whole of India. He said JCI is a platform which can give dynamic leaders to Canacona and to the society.
Guest of honor Shri. Chetan Desai spoke regarding the great leaders who have worked and inspired people. He also congratulated the new President for the future. He also appealed to keep JCI Canacona City live for a long period of time in the upcoming years.
Zone President JCI Senator Rajesh Rajan gave insights about JCI and appealed to the entire team of JCI Canacona City to make use of these ocean of opportunities for personal as well as overall growth of JCI Canacona City.
Zone Vice President congratulated the JCI Canacona city team for the initiative and motivated them to bring the name of Canacona at the forefront by carring out various activities under the banner of JCI Canacona city.
JCI Canacona city also felicitated senior journalist of Gomantak newspaper Shri. Soiru Komarpant for his exceptional work in the field of journalism from the past more than 37 years. In his speach Shri. Soiru said that youth of Canacona will get a better direction under the guidance of JC Sargam Bhikar and many future leaders of JCI Canacona City. He also shared his vast experience in his speech.
Along with the dignitories there wasbpresence of several past presidents, current members and Junior Jaycees of JCI Ponda. The entire compearing of the function was done by JC Shruti FalDessai and JC Sanija Desai of JCI Canacona city. The vote of thanks was proposed by JC Keval Naik, Scretary of JCI Canacona city.
This new Local organization has been extended by the 51st President of *JCI Ponda JC HGF Janhavi Naik*.
