Panaji: The Indian Medical Association, Goa Sate, in affiliation with IMA HQ, the representative body of Modern Medicine Doctors in Goa, announced on Wednesday that it has to actively take part in the mission of COVID Vaccination programme rolled out by Government of India.
In a press note by the medical body it has directed IMA Goa State and local branches to proactively meet the District Officials and concerned authorities and extend all possible help in the process of planning and implementation of Covid Vaccination Programme.
” Indian Medical Association has requested all its 3.5 lakhs members in 1800 Local branches all over India to voluntarily come out to get vaccinated first to show to the world that these vaccines are safe and efficacious.”
“IMA recognizes the great services of the healthcare team including nurses, para-medical personnel, ASHA and Anganwadi workers, hospital support colleagues, ambulance team and all other healthcare workers who have contributed in this Corona control programme. It is the time to honor them with protective Covid vaccination. We request all esteemed Members of our branches of IMA to ensure that all our health care team is getting the priority vaccination. Indian Medical Association appreciates and congratulates the hard works of Indian Scientists, Modern Medicine Doctors and the Govt. of India for bringing out two Indian Vaccines against SARS Covid-19,” IMA informed.
