Bicholim: IMA Bicholim in association with CHC Bicholim today organised a medical camp for the residents of SSV old age home at Karapur Sarvan. 19 eldery people were examined by Dr Shekhar Salkar and Dr Medha Salkar. Three had high blood sugar, six had ischemic heart disease and three had low haemoglobin .
They even underwent eye check-up by Dr Digamber as most had undergone cataract surgery in the past. Preliminary medicines were prescribed to them and it will be provided by the CHC Bicholim.
“It was quite an emotional experience to see loneliness on the face of the inmates. Thanks to dada, Arjun Malgoankar, Ayesha, Manjiri and all at SSV old age home for helping us and taking good care of all the elderly people.
We are also grateful to all the staffs of the CHC bicholim for providing the necessary infrastructure for the medical camp,” said Dr Shekhar Salkar.
