Panaji: Goa on Wednesday reported a record breaking 136 COVID-19 positive cases in the state taking the total number of cases to 2039.
As per State Health department’s bulletin, total 136 people were traced with COVID-19 infection during the tests held on Wednesday. On the same day, 51 people had recovered and discharged from different covidcare facilities.
State has reported eight deaths till now.
The health department said that out of 3741 samples that were tested on Wednesday, 2164 were negative while reports on 1441 were awaited.
As per the data available, the infection has spread across the entire state including the rural parts. But the major areas which are affected with the virus are parts of Vasco town including Mangor Hill, which has already been declared as containment zone.
