Governor releases book penned by DGP Goa

The Governor, P.S. Sreedharan Pillai launched the book tittled ‘Financial Technology (FinTech) and Digital Banking in India’ penned by Shri Jaspal Singh, IPS, Director General of Police., Goa.

The book launch ceremony was organised by Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry at International Centre Goa, Dona Paula today.

After the book release ceremony, the Governor praising the work of police force said, this IPS officer is with a difference. He said, law enforcement officials mostly fulfill the duty entrusted upon them by law, by serving the community and by protecting all persons. Good police officers are wealth of the nation, the Governor added.

Unlike a common citizen who can approach the court in case of character assassination, the Prime Minister, President, Vice President and Ministers have to be represented by public prosecutors the Governor added.

The Governor congratulated the author of the book for his minor observations towards digital transactions, and informed about the safety solutions cited in books.

Shri Jaspal Singh, DGP Goa expressed his happiness and said, it was just a internal urge to acquire knowledge and pass on to others in the form of book. Finance is a very conservative subject, he added.

Speaking on book Shri Jaspal Singh said, the book will throw light on various aspects pertaining to financial transactions in simple way to the common man. This will help the people to understand financial frauds in proper manner and to know more about the right methods of digital payments, Shri Singh added.

Earlier, Shri Ralph de Sousa, President GCCI gave the welcome address. Shri Nitin Kunkolienkar, Past President, GCCI introduced the author of the book. Shri Sanjay Amonkar, Director General compered and proposed vote of thanks.
