Goa Police arrested accused wanted in Maratha Arakshan Morcha

Calangute: Calangute police arrest three accused persons absconding in murder  and other crimes related to Maratha Arakshan Morcha in Navi Mumbai.
In a successful search Operation Calangute police have arrested 03 accused persons on 02/08/2018 in relation to crimes committed in Koparkhairane, Navi Mumbai.
As per PI Jivba Dalvi accused persons were among the crowd who had  committed the  crimes of attacking people during the agitation of Maratha Morcha strike that was called by  the Maratha people all over Maharashtra on 25/07/2018.  On this basis FIR No: 227/2018 U/s 326, 302, 143, 147, 148 and 149 IPC was registered at Koparkhairane Police Station, Navi Mumbai. Of the many persons identified as accused by Mumbai police these three were hiding in Calangute to deceive the police.
The Crime Branch, Navi Mumbai requested for cooperation from Calangute police  and than shared valuable details like names and photographs of the accused persons with PI Jivba Dalvi of Calangute police station who immediately led a team consisting of PSI Sitaram Malik, Rushikesh Patil, constables Vidyanand Amonkar and Mahendra Chari and zeroed in on the location of the accused persons stay of hotel. However the accused persons got hint of the police movement and they left from the hotel in a haste. Further police chased one accused person on Calangute beach and taking along him nabbed the remaining accused persons subsequently by midnight.
Further accused persons were placed under arrest under section 41 CrPC.  They were identified as 1. Bhushan Bhagwan Agaskar, 2. Ashish Kale, 3. Chandrashekhar Vishwanath Patil, all residents of Koparkhairane, Navi Mumbai.
The Crime Branch Navi Mumbai police officers arrived early morning and accordingly took custody of the three accused persons and left for Mumbai.
