Curchorem: Hours after Congress leader Girish Chodankar accused Bajarang Dal being behind the attack on his car, Viraj Desai on Saturday said that Bajarangis don’t even know who is Chodankar.
“If you ask anyone about Girish Chodankar, they will respond, is he Bajrangi? People don’t know who is Girish Chodankar,” he said, while refusing that they have any links with the attack on his car.
Chodankar’s car which was parked outside Holy Spirit Church in Margao was attacked by unidentified miscreants. The Congress leader had alleged that the car was attacked after his tweet on BJP MLA T Raja Singh’s scheduled participation in Bajarang Dal event at Curchorem on coming Sunday.
In a video released on Saturday, Viraj has invited Chodankar to attend the event. “Bhagwad Gita Pujan” is an important part of the program. Chodankar can attend it being Hindu.
“I also urge him to swear saffron scarf for a day and go around as he is Hindu himself.”
