Four Valpoi students to represent Goa at national entrepreneurial camp

Valpoi: Four bright students from Government Higher Secondary School, Valpoi, Sattari, are all set to represent Goa at the prestigious “Camp on Entrepreneurial Adventure for Vocational Students” being hosted at the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

The students — Pruthvin Prakash Prabh, William Felip Mascarenhas, Ahmed Sayyed, and Balasaheb Rane — will be participating in the training camp scheduled to be held between October 6-11, 2025, at Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

A senior functionary said that the main objective of this national-level camp is to ignite entrepreneurial thinking among students, encourage innovation, and help them view entrepreneurship as a strong and viable career option.

Among the selected students from Government Higher Secondary School, Valpoi, two are from the Horticulture (Vocational) stream, while the other two are from Health Care-NSQF and Electronics-NSQF sectors respectively.

Principal of the Higher Secondary, Shrikrishna Naik, said that it is a proud moment for the institution as the students got an opportunity to represent Goa at the national platform.
“This experience will enhance their confidence, develop leadership skills, and inspire them to take bold steps in the field of entrepreneurship,” he added.

Teachers Sameer Gawas, Ramdas Naik, Sayyed Ibrahim Shaizad, Nikita Desai, and Dr. Snehal Nadkarni played a vital role in mentoring and preparing the students for this opportunity.

A total of 18 students from Goa have been selected for this training program. The school expressed heartfelt gratitude to Dr. S. S. Ghadi, State Project Director, Goa Samagra Shiksha, Porvorim, for providing this wonderful platform to students across the state.
