Margao: Two ladies from Fatorda have complained against Fatorda Police Inspector Kapil Nayak alleging he passed Casteist comments against and also threatened them.
Mrs. Inacia Colaco and Mrs. Ditosa Faleiro in their written complaint to Superintendent of Police-Margao has requested to file complain under section 3 (i) (x) of Schedule Castes and Schedule Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 and u/s 504 and 506 of IPC against P. I Kapil Nayak.
They have said that Kapil Naik called them as “GAWDI”. The incident happened on Friday while they were proceeding to their respective houses walking from Fatorda Forward Avenue Junction after visiting SPDA, Margao market.
“While reaching the Fatorda Forward Avenue Junction we encountered a huge crowd gathering along with the Police force. After reaching the spot, as a matter of concern we questioned P. I Kapil Nayak, as to what is the problem and why the huge crowd has assembled here? He did not bother responding to our concern instead P. I. Kapil Nayak yelled at us and threatened us that he would put us behind the bars and told us to get lost from there by making a hurtful and contemptuous casteist slur “GAWDYANO CHOLAT HAANGACHYAN NAZALYAR MAAR PODATALO TUMKA MHAJO ANIK TUMKA HAAV JAILIN UDOITALO”, to this shock our MLA Shri. Vijai Sardesai told us to stay away from P. I. Kapil Nayak and requested P. I. Kapil not to use his forceful strength against us.” The complaint stated.
The complainants have sought action against Kapil Nayak.
