Panaji: Margao MLA Digambar Kamat, when asked about businessman Chirag Naik joining the Congress party, said that everyone has a right to contest elections in a democracy.
“Everyone has the right to contest elections in a democracy. What can I say?” Kamat responded when reporters questioned him about Chirag Naik’s entry into the party.
Chirag Naik is vying for a Congress ticket from the Margao constituency.
