Panaji : Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Girish Chodankar has asserted that even though the disqualification petition is taking plenty of time to reach a conclusion, he is not willing to give up.
The Judge had recused himself in the disqualification petition that had challenged the order of the speaker in High Court. Now a special bench has been constituted and the GPCC Chief moved an application before the newly constituted bench, pleading to speed up the process.
Chodankar informed that, Kapil Sibal would be appearing in the matter, “I hope the HC will give its decision soon,” he said.
“Speaker unnecessarily took 20 months to dispose of our petition and now even the police machinery is protecting the accused defectors,” Chodankar informed.
