Panaji: GPCC Vice President Sankalp Amonkar on Sunday said that the congress will approach the court against the pick and choose reservations declared for the upcoming civic polls and try to get a stay order.

Amonkar while blaming the Urban Development minister Milind Naik said that the such Reservations had never been witnessed in the history of Mormugao Constituency and seemed to be politically motivated and in a pick and choose fashion.

Amonkar hit out at the BJP and said that though BJP had initiatives like Nari Shakti, Beti Padao Beti Bachao and Women empowerment, their own cabinet minster Milind Naik had ensured that there was not even a single sear reserved for the ladies.

Amonkar said that despite having 52 percent women voting and yet grave injustice was done to the women and said that very soon the women power would teach a good lesson to the BJP.

Amonkar said that though the BJP had ensured injustice to women and tried to suppress the opposition, amonkar will ensure that he will place 33 percent women candidates in the upcoming civic polls.
