Margao: Citizens of Margao will come together to pay homage to the late Narayan Pai Fondekar on November 28 at Margao Municipal Hall at 4 pm.
“Nana” as he was popularly known as had well wishers all across the State. He was always available to people in need. It is our duty to remember his contribution to society, stated Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat.
Remembering ‘Nana’, Kamat said, “He was an Institution by himself with regards to selfless social service. His contribution to Margao Hindu Crematorium is irreplaceable. He will always inspire generations to come.”
The ex-MMC councillor passed away on November 23.
Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardessai, Former Chairperson of MMC Ajit Hegde and Dorris Teixeira, President of Mathgramastha Hindu Sabha Pandurang alias Bhai Naik, Narayan Mauzo, Prashant Ghodge of Solid Party Trust, New Market Assosiation President Vinod Shirodkar, Kamaxi Sausthan President Umesh Kamat, Vaikunth Pai Fondekar of MHS Kala Vibhag, Ex. Councillor Damodar Shirodkar, Mahesh Damodar Naik, Social Worker Ranjita Pai, Municipal Union General Secretary Anil Shirodkar, Family member Shekhar Pai Fondekar and others will also pay homage on the occasion.
