Porvorim: Independent MLA Rohan Khaunte alleged that CM was resorting to tax terrorism.
In a series of tweets, Khaunte wrote “While Goa is already losing its competitive edge in the tourism sector to other affordable international destinations, imposing a tax hike on liquor will kill the tourism industry!”
“What is the rationale behind levying exhorbitant tax on Feni, our own very heritage drink found in every Goan household! Instead of investing in new revenue generating avenues, the CM thought these tax terrorism methods can make up for their incompetencies?”
