Panaji: Congress legislative party (CLP) led by Chandrakant Kavlekar will meet on Friday to discuss and decide future course of action on the current ‘State emergency’ that has aroused with Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar leaving for USA for medical treatment, without handling charge to senior Minister.

CLP may discuss to call upon Goa Governor Dr Mridual Sinha seeking her intervention to either appoint a full time Chief Minister or to dissolve the government and invite them to prove majority.

Kavlekar said that State is going through emergency like situation, where the administration has completely collapsed in view of Chief Minister’s absence. “We cannot allow this to happen. We have supported government on the CM health ground but that cannot happen always. CLP will meet tomorrow and discuss what should be our future course of action,” he said.

After his three-month long medical treatment in USA, Parrikar had returned back in mid June. After attending monsoon session, Chief Minister went to USA on August 10 for medical review and had returned on August 22. However, due to some digestion issue, Parrikar was admitted in Lilavati from August 23, from where he is flown to USA.
