Chief Minister, Governor extend Ganesh Chaturthi greetings

Panaji :  Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and His Excellency Governor of Goa P S Sreedharan Pillai have extended their greetings to people of Goa on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
CM Sawant in his message said, “Ganesh Chaturthi is a festival that evokes feelings of love and togetherness between relatives and
friends creating a pleasing atmosphere. Let us set a goal to restore our past glory while preserving the sacredness of Chaturthi.”
Chaturthi, as it is celebrated in Goa, gives us the opportunity to make seasonal vegetables and homemade dishes due to our rituals and different methods.In this journey to make our state self-reliant, let us all decide to
wholeheartedly help our farmer brothers and Self Help Groups by purchasing their produce annually, the Chief Minister said.He concluded by urging all Goans to celebrate of Chaturthi with fervour and devotion.
Governor of Goa P S Sreedharan Pillai in his message said: “Lord Ganesh occupies a special place in the pantheon of Gods. He has been conferred the honour of first among the Gods. Therefore, any important event or puja begins first with Ganesh Puja”.
“He is also known as Vigneshwar who is the remover of all obstacles and the lord of success. He is, therefore, a very popular God,
loved and worshipped by everyone with equal zeal.”
