Panaji: The high profile drama was witnessed at Altinho in Panaji after 12 people who had tested positive for COVID-19 infection refused to go to the Covidcare centre.
A group of people living behind Architecture College have tested positive, but had refused to go to covidcare centre. Incidently, a youth from the same area had succumbed to covid infection increasing the gravity of the situation.
After the group refused, CCP Mayor Uday Madkaikar along with Commissioner Sanjith Rodrigues arrived at the spot. Deputy Collector Gurudas Desai, Tiswadi Mamlatdar and Police Inspector Panaji were also at the spot.
After much convincing the group agreed to go to the covidcare centre.
