Panaji: Congress on Friday shot back at former Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadanavis over his ‘part time party’ jibe commenting him that his party in Goa has failed to produce any leader during last decade.
During induction of former MLA Rohan Khaunte in the party, Fadanavis had commented that congress has been reduced to part time party in the country with its leaders indulging in part time politics. He had also said that the congress is vanishing in the country.
Goa Congress spokesman Rakhi Prabhudesai Naik said that Fadanavis should first accept a fact that his party has failed to produce any formidable leader due to which it has to poach the faces from other parties.
She said that the ex-Maharashtra chief minister should realise that he has lost power to the same so-called part time party in his own state.
In Goa, she said, the BJP had to depend on other parties like a parasite for its survival. “Even now when elections are nearing, it has no leaders of its own and is importing faces with the fear of being reduced to single digit after next polls,” she said.
Naik said that BJP in Goa has pinned hopes of winning next election on leaders borrowed from other political parties. “Minus bags of money, BJP has nothing to offer,” she said.
