Panaji: The athletes of Sanjay Centre for Special Education Goa Porvorim exceled at the Special Olympics World Summer Games which was held from March 14 to 21, 2019 at Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Special Olympics (Bharat) Goa won a total of 23 medals-5 Gold, 8 Silver and 10 Bronze. The Bharat contingent was led by National Sports Director Victor R. Vaz. From Goa 35 Athletes, Coaches and HOD participated at the World Games.
The Goa contingent arrived on March 23, 2019 at the Goa Airport were received by the Special Olympics Bharat Goa Area Director, Vrushali Cardozo, Member Secretary, Sheru Shirodkar, Headmaster of Sanjay School, Tatu Kudalkar and other Heads of the Institutes.
